Had some meetings today to lay out all the details, colourways, etc. for the shirts, and after a little more work they'll be going into production!!!! Get ready, they'll be here in under 2 weeks time!!!

We're People Too

Many people as teenagers, young adults, and often even people who are much further along in their lives are looked down upon because of certain "styles" or "actions" and may feel unappreciated. It's very hard to convey these feelings to others, but the people who have the hardest time are those who are homeless. Every day they are walked past, ignored, dehumanized, shrugged off by so many people (many of who could easily afford to help them out with even as little as a dollar). I know personally I've been guilty of this, but I also try to give to help out when I can with change in my pocket when I have it, and it gives a feeling that can't be put into words. Sometimes all it takes is a little understanding, or even just spending some time with somebody to make them feel better about themselves.

Here's a video that pro-snowboarder/artist Tj Schneider made. It's inspiring to see how the smallest things like giving someone something to draw on, or giving them a portrait of themselves can make them so happy.

II gave him some money one night and he came over to talk to me.

I gave Sylvain a gift , I hoped that he would sell it to buy food or a warm place to sleep for the night.

Olympic Torch in Pickering!!

Hey guys, we just learned that the Olympic torch will be passing through Ajax/Pickering on December 17th. The route hasn't been released yet, but this is going to be an unreal chance of a lifetime to see this thing. There is also a "celebration" in downtown Toronto the evening of the 17th if you want to check that out. No details other than that have been released yet, but I for one am definitely going to check it out and start the party of a lifetime. More details will be posted as they come out.

Open House, Sale, Rail Jam?

This Sunday, November 8, Brimacombe (formerly Oshawa Ski Club) will be hosting their annual open house, First Frost at the Brim. There's going to be a pro shop tent sale with big deals, a show of this year's latest outerwear, free snacks and drinks, cheap BBQ food, jumping castle (who doesn't love these?), bumpin music, several displays, and depending on the weather, there will be a rail jam. They're not promising anything because if they do and it doesn't happen, people will be disappointed, but they are saying that if it's possible and the weather co-operates, there will be a rail jam going down.

Early Season Pre-Jib

Rome presents the 6th annual Premature Jibulation event. I'm itchin', you're itchin', and the guys at Rome are itchin'. Everyone's ready to get some snow on the ground and do the dirty, so Rome has once again put together a free local comp for you to win some stuff. A board, bindings, boots, shirts, who really knows? There'll also be some free food (hotdogs) and product tosses so you don't have to pay to maybe get something you want. If it's like last year, Horseshoe will be selling discounted lift tickets for the day (December 5th) and it'll be a darn good time.

Vermonster Lives

So, guys who run Monster Energy Drink have decided to back off from their "claim" against Rock Art's Vermonster brew. Congrats to the Vermont microbrewery on the win without having to go to court.

This is actually extremely pathetic and disheartening. A corporation going after a micro brewing company because they have the word "monster" in one of their product names. Check this out for more insight as to why you should stop supporting the Monster Energy drink that is so widely promoted in "extreme" sports such as snowboarding, skateboarding, and snowmobiling.
